Data CollectionPursuant to guidelines in the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) Notice Of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the State Broadband Data and Development (SBDD) grant program, Connect Minnesota requests data on your broadband services. As the mapping agent for the State of Minnesota we are in the process of developing both a statewide broadband availability map and are collecting the data in accordance with the Technical Appendix of the SBDD NOFA (and subsequent clarification). Data request forms will be distributed to each broadband provider to help with the data collection process. While these forms strive to satisfy the objectives of this mapping initiative, we are prepared to receive data in formats other than those suggested in our template forms. For example, we can convert Auto CAD .dwg files, Map Info files, etc. If any of the requested data points or attributes are unclear (or difficult for you to provide) we can assist. We welcome the opportunity to work with you to identify alternate solutions as may be necessary. It is our intent to make this process as easy as possible for each broadband provider. Together, we can contribute to the development of Minnesota's statewide broadband map and collectively satisfy the data collection requirements of NTIA.
